This trilogy of short films uses a range of inspirations as starting points: Samuel Beckett’s 1963 text 'All Strange Away'; Prospero's penultimate soliloquy in Shakespeare's 'The Tempest'; and two paintings by Caspar David Friedrich - 'Wanderer Above the Sea of Fog' (1818) and 'The Tree of Crows' (1822).

These, however, are just the 'jumping-off' points.

"Murmur" focuses upon disability in terms of addressing the onlooker’s complicity in the subjugation and oppression of an individual in an increasingly restrictive space. It references society’s need for neat, convenient, medical models of disability that separate people into categories that limit and ostracise them.

"Spell-Stopped" examines an individual's internal dialogue and process of 'self-reconciliation'.

"Crow" follows the 'struggle' of living with ritual and an attempt to break-free and escape.
